I am an Irish and Scottish artist and researcher with a background in animation and design, specialising in animation, digital art, and design. After earning an HND in Filmcraft and Animation at Motherwell College in 2012, I pursued a BDes in Animation at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, graduating in 2015. Since then, I have expanded my practice to include digital art and design, photography, illustration, and comic art.
Over the years, I have taken on several freelance illustration roles and have created graphics for organisations such as Rainbow Ukes, an LGBT ukulele group organised by LGBT Health and Wellbeing. Additionally, I have contributed to various zines, including the Scottish Trans Conference 2023 Zine and the Riffs Journal Zine for their SGSAH Summer School Special in 2025.
Most of my professional life since graduating with my bachelor's has involved working as a digital marketing and design assistant for Eurasia Crafts Ltd until August 2024, when I left to pursue an MRes in art and design research at DJCAD. My master's research was an autoethnographic study exploring Absurdism through the creation of an apocalyptic comic. As part of this project, I have completed the first issue of my comic series Thy Will Be Done, which reinterprets Irish mythology through a modern lens.
Looking ahead, my ambitions include continuing to develop this series and expanding my research further, with a specific focus on art as a counter-myth against colonial narratives.
